January 18, 2017Weekly Update from the First Week of this Session
January 29, 2017βIt has been a very busy third week here in Topeka. Many activities and rallies to attend.
Pictured above is the KFL rally (Kansans For Life) that Dr. Eplee was fortunate enough to attend on Monday, held on the South steps of the Capitol. Atchison had a good number of members attend. We didn’t rally too long because it was a bit chilly.
This is a photo from last week, during Higher Education Day where Dr. Eplee found his favorite mascot Willie. #love KSU
Wednesday night, 1/25, Dr. Eplee made connections with commissioner Eric Noll at the Annual League Of Municipalities Conference in Topeka. They had a good visit about state/county government affairs and discussed the transition of our Atchison County Ambulance Service back into the county management.
Later Wednesday evening, 1/25, Dr. Eplee got to visit with Rea Laflin at the State Farm PAC meeting in Topeka. Rea has done an excellent job of replacing Dr. Eplee as the song leader for Rotary Club in his absence!
And then Thursday morning, Dr. Eplee got to say Hi to Lynn Jenkins our great Congresswoman, and wish her well in her transition back into the private sector at the completion of her current term of office. She made this official yesterday.
