Dr. Eplee got a very early start on sign placement Friday morning September 23! Many thanks to all the hard workers donating their time –Derek Franklin, Bill Murphy, Phil Sowers and Dr. Allen Reavis (Atchison Co) & John Smith and Jim Needham (Doniphan Co). Couldn’t have gotten it all done without this great group of volunteers! Thanks guys!
We started at sunrise and ended up placing 285+ yard signs in 2 counties!
At 11:30 Dr. Eplee was able to take a break from sign placement and catch the ground-breaking ceremony for the brand new Holiday Inn Express, in Atchison at 4th and Commercial. I got to visit with State Senator Dennis Pyle over a glass of tea. And also got to meet Bill Machaud, President of BAJA Management, the principal developer of the new hotel. Then back to finish placing all those signs!
