Weekly Update from the Third Week.
January 29, 2017Updates from the last few weeks
March 23, 2017So here are pics from this weekend’s activities as your Representative for District 63.
On Friday, 1/27, Dr Eplee was fortunate enough to attend the quarterly meeting of IKC, the preeminent organization for immunization information exchange and updates. At this meeting IKC was able to give out our first round of awards for those programs in the state that showed the most innovative and improved rates of success for HPV vaccinations. Ks had the lowest rate in the nation, but thanks to the hard work of these folks our rates have gone up a great deal. Pictured from L to R are Hope Krebill–current chairwoman of IKC, Nita Bugner RN and Sarah Chrisman RN–Wesley Family Medicine Residency, Alison Alejos Director and Linda Ochs–Shawnee Co health Dept, Dawn McNay Director–SEKs Community Health Clinics, Dr William Pankney–Med Director of Turner house clinic, and Dr John Eplee–immediate past chairman of IKC.
Saturday evening, 1/28, John and Debbie Eplee were Able to attend the 98th Annual Chamber of Commerce Banquet that showcased Amelia Earhart. Her many accomplishments and new attractions around Atchison were highlighted by the arrival this year of Muriel, the only surviving Lockheed Electra similar to the last plane flown by Amelia Earhart. Picture above is John Eplee with Mike and Rox Stec who were in character as Fred Noonan, Amelia’s Navigator, and Amelia herself.
John and Debbie were able to enjoy the Chamber event with our own personal stewardess, Dr Susan Myers–409 president and her husband Gordon. It was a great event put on by Atchison’s Chamber.
